Agentic AI Foundation Program — Essentials
Program 01 · 2-day corporate cohort
I spent two days in Ahmedabad with the 200OK Solutions engineering team running Program 01 (Essentials): guardrails, token cost, MCP security, model selection, observability. Slides set up each framework; the room applied it to their own tools before we moved on.
What we covered
- Session 02 (guardrails): input checks before the API call, output verification before review. The deck claims 40% fewer re-runs when you verify structure and compilation first. We walked through that on their workflows, not a toy example.
- Session 05 (security): PUBLIC / INTERNAL / CONFIDENTIAL classification for every prompt and MCP connection. Rule of thumb from the room: if you would not paste it in a public Slack channel, do not paste it into Cursor.
- MCP hygiene: trust the server, read mcp.json before you open a cloned repo, stay under the 40-tool ceiling. 200OK ships across hospitality, fintech, retail, healthcare, and public sector. That checklist is not academic for them.
- Model selection and token budgeting scorecards mapped to how their teams actually bill and deliver, not generic “use Haiku for simple tasks” advice.
- Observability templates for engineering leads who need cost and error signals per step, not a separate platform team to interpret dashboards.
Thanks & recap
Thank you to the 200OK Solutions leadership and engineering team for two focused days at The Launchpad. Corporate cohorts only work when the room shows up ready to build. This one did.
We ran Program 01 end to end. Roughly 80% hands-on: I set up the framework on screen, then the team applied it at their desks. Guardrails, MCP security, model selection, observability. No module ended as “slides only.”
200OK builds digital platforms for UK businesses and global enterprises. Their engineers will touch client codebases where agent mistakes are expensive. Getting guardrails and MCP curation in place now beats retrofitting after the first incident.
